Children's Ministry

Curriculum
We utilize the “Gospel Project” to teach our SkyKids the Word of God from start to finish.
Each lesson is interactive and brings the Bible to life in a way that is fun and easy to understand.
Safety
Our children’s safety is a top priority. Background checks for teachers, the security team, and our check-in procedures ensure our environment is safe and secure.
A Cry Room, located off the foyer, is available for nursing mothers and mothers with small children. It is a quiet secluded spot that has a video feed of the service. It’s a perfect place to feed or soothe your small children.

We ask that fathers and children 6th grade or older stay out of the cry room and enjoy the worship celebration in the sanctuary.
Why SkyKids Matters
Why Your Child Belongs in SkyKids: Building Faith That Lasts
As parents, we all want the best for our children. We invest in their education, health, and happiness. But what about their spiritual growth? At Skycrest Community Church, we believe that nurturing a child’s faith is just as crucial as any other aspect of their development.
The Critical Window: Ages 4–14
Research shows that the majority of people who accept Jesus as their Savior do so between the ages of 4 and 14. This period, often referred to as the “4–14 window,” is when children are most receptive to spiritual teachings. Engaging them during these formative years lays a foundation for a lifelong relationship with God.
SkyKids: More Than Just Childcare
SkyKids isn’t just a place for children to stay while parents attend the service. It’s a vibrant, interactive ministry where kids learn about God’s love through age-appropriate Bible lessons, music, and activities. Our dedicated volunteers create a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their faith and build lasting friendships.

Why Kids Need to See You Serve
Why Kids Need to See You Serve: Modeling Faith in Action
When it comes to raising children in the faith, what they see matters just as much as what they hear. At Skycrest Community Church, we believe that one of the most powerful ways to teach your children about God is to show them what it looks like to follow Him—through your actions.
Faith That’s Seen Is Faith That’s Caught
Kids learn by example. When they see their parents and other adults actively involved in the life of the church—serving, worshiping, volunteering—it sends a strong message: “Jesus matters. The Church matters. Serving others matters.”
This kind of modeling doesn’t just influence them today. It lays the groundwork for a future where they see church as a vital part of their own lives.
Why Serving Matters for Families:
-
🧒 Children Imitate What They See
Kids are always watching. When you serve, you’re showing them what it means to live a life that reflects Jesus. -
⛪ It Builds Church as a Family Priority
Being involved shows your child that church isn’t just a place we go—it’s a community we belong to and help build. -
💬 It Opens Conversations at Home
Volunteering often sparks great talks at home about faith, service, and God’s purpose for our lives. -
🤝 It Strengthens the Whole Family
When parents and kids serve together, it creates shared experiences and spiritual growth across generations.
Skycrest: A Place for Every Generation to Serve
At Skycrest, our mission is to Make Friends, Meet Needs, and Make Disciples—and that’s a mission we share across all ages. Whether you’re greeting at the door, serving in SkyKids, helping with outreach, or leading a small group, there’s a place for you to make a difference.
Let your children see your faith in action. Show them that following Jesus is more than just attending—it’s participating.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
